The United States began their 12 day training camp in Brazil on Wednesday to prepare for the conditions of the 2014 World Cup fast arriving in June.

After settling into their new digs, Jurgen Klinnsman’s roster of 26 players faced Sao Paulo FC in a closed door scrimmage on Thursday.

San Jose Earthquakes forward Chris Wondowlowski scored one for the U.S., but Luis Fabiano countered with two goals for the hosts.

US Soccer confirmed the scrimmage on social media with a simple tweet:

Another scrimmage against Sao Paulo is scheduled for Monday, before the Stars and Stripes return stateside for a friendly against the Korea Republic, which will be broadcast on ESPN2 at 5:00 p.m. EST on February 1st.
