Sinclair: Nothing To Fear

HAYLEY SINCLAIR believes Rangers have nothing to fear when they come up against league leaders and reigning champions Glasgow City this weekend.

Sinclair, who featured in the much improved second half of the defeat against Hibernian last weekend hopes the Gers can use the disappointment of missing out on a point to push Glasgow City.

Speaking to preview the match on Sunday, she said: “It’s been really positive even though we were defeated and I think we are going to take those positives from the Hibs game into Glasgow City.

“We know that we can give them a game and we can play without any fear, like we always do.”

“We have a lot of qualities in attack and defence, the same as Glasgow City, and in reality looking at the players they have and the players we have, it will be a good game for both teams.

“I think for us it’s just about stepping up. We’ve got no pressure on us while they’re going to have that bit of pressure because of who they are.”

With a strong message of togetherness coming from the club, Sinclair praised the young players in the team who have settled well in advance of a difficult run of games.

She continued: “At the start it was quite difficult getting the new players in, a lot of the players were younger but they have really stepped up and are maturing in training and working with the older players.

“When you have a player like Clare Gemmell on your team, who demands the best from you each session, that helps the younger players.

“They know what the standards are and throughout the season so far, they’ve definitely followed that.”

Rangers travel to Petershill Park on Sunday the 18th to face Glasgow City, kick off is 14:10pm.
