Miller Asks For Morelos Time

From Rangers.co.uk:

KENNY MILLER is confident he and Alfredo Morelos can forge a match winning partnership with time.

The Colombian has linked up with the veteran striker two games in a row and has hit three goals in the process – two against Dunfermline and the opener against Hibernian.

Miller believes that while the 21-year-old is a work in progress he can be a roaring success in Scotland.

He has asked for patience though, confessing the duo must be afforded time to get to know one another before they can be properly judged.

Speaking to RangersTV the 37-year-old said:

“Alfredo is coming on; he is a young lad who has made a big impact in the last two games getting three goals.

“It is about getting to know each other, that chance where I put the ball over the keeper I am looking for my partner to be there.

“That understanding will no doubt come but we have options in the front area with Alfredo, Eduardo and also Josh can go up there as well.

“We can change the way we want to play as well because we have decent width in the team too.

“It is a work in progress but it will definitely get stronger as the season goes on.”

Miller cut a frustrated figure after the Gers 3-2 loss to Hibs on Saturday afternoon and thinks if Ryan Jack hadn’t been dismissed in the 37th minute of the game there was only one winner.

He continued:

“After the sending off if we could have found our flow again, which 11 v 11 we were comfortable doing, then I would have still been more than confident we could have got the three points.

“You don’t know how we would have reacted going behind with 11 v 11 but the way we started.

“The way we have gone about our business at the start of the season then everyone in the dressing room would have been confident enough to get back on it.”
