If We Score Two, We Must Win

From Rangers.co.uk:

FABIO CARDOSO believes Rangers should be winning any game in which they score two goals.

The Portuguese centre-back pointed to defensive mistakes made by his side in the draw at Partick Thistle on Friday night, and insisted they must improve ahead of the return visit to Firhill on Tuesday.

He also explained why he wants that clash to come sooner in order for the Gers side to rectify what went wrong for them.

Speaking to RangersTV, he explained: “It was a hard game, and we can’t commit mistakes like that as with two goals scored, we can’t lose the game.

“We made a lot of defensive mistakes and we have to improve and do better on Tuesday when we come back here.

“For us, the game could be tomorrow. We want to play quicker to improve and win as we deserve to win and we are more than we showed today.”

Cardoso also joined his manager in calling for his side to start the second half of matches much stronger than they currently are doing so.

He added: “It is something we have to improve. We have to control the game as the teams start very strong against us, so we have to start stronger, and yes, it is a thing we have to improve for the next game.

“Of course, after we conceded the second goal we tried the whole game to score and score. We scored one, but we needed two, but, like I say, when we score two goals we have to win the game.”
